"Lee Carter is without a doubt an outstanding choir director, and I say that having sung with various choirs over 25 years. He is respectful and supportive of every choir member regardless of ability and with his easy going manner and sense of humour makes practices and performances a great deal of fun for everyone.

The Choral Retreat was a wonderful experience, well-organized with a full and challenging singing schedule but also time to relax and do some sightseeing. The music was terrific, and our four performances were a blast. I loved the feeling of community that developed over the two weeks among the participants, instructors, and guest artists, and enjoyed the hospitality of the nuns at the Accademia. Breno itself is a charming and friendly town; our neighbourhood had cobbled, hilly streets, with cafes and the market square (and gelato) just minutes away; and a castle, mountains, and a river for hikes or strolls.
