Our participants will have the choice of double or single occupancy at either the Hostel Ostello di valle camonica OR The academy Arte e Vita. If single occupancy is preferred, there will be a surcharge. Please note that limited single rooms are available and they will be sold on a first come first serve basis.

Repertoire
  • VOICE: You will bring the repertoire of your choice (Opera and/or Oratorio and/or Art Song) and will be assigned to ensembles. 
  • IMPROV: No preparation needed
  • CHORAL RETREAT: You will be sent music via Google Drive for download approximately a month before the start of the program.  No need to learn the music in advance but feel free to explore it before leaving for Italy. 
What is the Tuition Payment Schedule?

Choral Retreat Payment Schedule 

  • Deposit - $750 CAD - This deposit is due January 20th, but if you pay your deposit before December 15th, you'll save $100 on your tuition!

Subsequent tuition payments are as follows: 

  • 2nd Instalment - $2000 CAD (due on February 20, 2026)
  • 3rd Instalment - $2000 CAD (due on March 20, 2026)
  • 4th Instalment - $650 CAD ($550 CAD if you pay your deposit by December 15) (due on April 20, 2026)

Typical Day at BIIMA

Voice Intensive Masterclass:

  • 8:00 breakfast
  • 9:45 Group warm up (physical) class
  • 10:30-11 break for individual warm up
  • 11-12:30 masterclass
  • 12:30 lunch
  • 2:00-7:00  Coachings (Tailored sessions balanced with time for rest and personal growth.)
  • 7:00 Dinner

Choral Retreat Schedule

  • 8:00 breakfast
  • 9:45 Group warm up
  • 10:15-11:45 Rehearsal
  • 12-2 Lunch break
  • 2-3 Optional Group class (music appreciation/diction/vocal technique)
  • 3-5 Rehearsal
  • 7:00 Dinner
  • 8:00 Group activity (Movie and pizza night/ Game night/ Karaoke Night/Faculty Performance/ Pub Crawl/ Walk to Castle/)

 

When do I Leave for BIIMA?

Most flights arriving from North America into Europe happen over-night. Please plan accordingly. You will receive specific information for your program. Stay tuned. 

Can I fly directly to Breno?

No. You must fly into Europe, preferably Milan. There will be a bus booked by us to bring participants from Malpensa Airport (schedule provided to participants)  If you are planning on traveling with us by bus please plan your travel schedule with ample time to ensure you are able to board the bus. You can also arrange your own transportation by train to Breno. (trains daily).

What do you advise us to pack?
  • Light clothing, as it is usually hot
  • A plug adapter for electronics
  • Ear plugs
  • Any prescription meds and maybe some over the counter meds that can be useful for travel (i.e gravol, imodium, etc)
  • Basic first aid kit with painkillers, allergy medication, moleskin and adhesive bandages
  • Your sheet music printed or Ipad
  • Sun screen
  • Hat
  • Water bottle
  • Cellphone for communication
  • Concert attire
  • iPad, laptop or a tablet
  • Passport
  • Cash and credit cards
  • Health insurance card
